Web Applications

Custom web application development for education, nonprofits and government

We design and build web applications that teams rely on every day: learning platforms, lesson authoring tools, compliance systems and public data platforms.

Our work includes the Literacy Design Collaborative’s CoreTools, the Gates Foundation’s PDredesign toolkit, the World Bank’s Evoke learning game and the HEXDI compliance platform.

What we build

  • Learning platforms and custom LMS features
  • Authoring and collaboration tools
  • Data platforms and public-facing tools
  • Internal tools and workflow systems
  • Integrations with the systems you already use

How we work

Every project starts with discovery: who uses the application, what they need to get done and what has to connect to it. We design and test the key flows before we build them, then ship in small releases so you see progress early.

Principals lead every engagement, with specialists brought in for research, accessibility and data engineering as the project needs them.

Built to last

  • React and Next.js, with TypeScript
  • Accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA from the start, not retrofitted
  • Documented and handed over so your team or another vendor can maintain it

Frequently asked questions

Do you build learning management systems?

We build custom learning platforms and LMS features when off-the-shelf systems don’t fit how your organization teaches. If an existing LMS will do the job, we’ll tell you.

Can you take over an existing application?

Yes. We start with a technical review so we understand the code, the risks and what to fix first.

Who owns the code?

You do. We build in your repositories and hand over everything at the end.

Ready to discuss your next project?

We'll schedule a 30-minute discovery call to understand your goals, assess fit, and outline next steps — no pressure, no pitch deck.
