Benefits Participation Map

About this project

NCOA's Benefits Participation Map helps aging services organizations and policymakers understand where older adults are — and aren't — accessing the benefit programs available to them. The interactive map layers enrollment data across all 50 states, making it easy to identify gaps in participation and target outreach where it matters most. We designed the tool with NCOA's diverse audience in mind: state agency directors, local nonprofit leaders, and policy advocates all needed to find useful insights quickly. The interface had to work for experienced researchers digging into county-level data and for first-time visitors trying to understand the big picture.
