Medellín Heritage Web Application

About this project

The Mayor's Office of Medellín, Colombia needed a way to make the city's rich cultural heritage accessible to residents and visitors. We built an interactive map application that catalogs over 400 sculptures and 4 archaeological findings across the city, all powered by Leaflet, React, and GeoJSON. We completed the entire project in four weeks, including an on-site workshop using our Product Design Sprint methodology. Working directly with city officials and heritage experts, we moved from discovery to a fully functional application in a compressed timeline without cutting corners on quality or user experience. The client's feedback captured it well: "I found the methodology they used — involving the client in the design process — extremely valuable. It allowed me to communicate clearly with the team. The end result is a beautiful product that exceeded our expectations."
